Decorglass

Patterned glass is produced by casting and rolling clear or body-tinted, translucent, flat glass. The glass is heated to its softening point and passed between two rollers, which emboss the pattern into the glass. SGG DECORGLASS complies with standard BS EN 572-5 Glass in building - basic soda lime silicate glass products - patterned glass.

Application

The SGG DECORGLASS range is intended for a diverse variety of applications:

• interior design and decoration: partitions, doors (with glass bullions, glazing bars, or fully toughened glass), shower screens, balconies guarding and balustrades,
• furniture: tables, shelving, bathroom and kitchen fittings, office furniture, counters and worktops,
• windows (SGG CLIMALIT and SGG CLIMAPLUS DESIGN double-glazed units),
• street furniture.

Note: 

Certain applications require toughened or laminated glass

Depending on the pattern, SGG DECORGLASS can be:

• notched, drilled and edgeworked ,
• assembled into double-glazed units SGG CLIMALIT DESIGN and SGG CLIMAPLUS DESIGN ,
• assembled as SGG STADIP or SGG STADIP PROTECT laminated glass or as SGG STADIP SILENCE acoustic laminated glass , with the patterned face on the outside of the assembly,
• enamelled as SGG EMALIT ,
• toughened for safety as SGG SECURIT .
• For the processing options for patterns available in the UK and Ireland . Certain patterns available in 8 and 10 mm thicknesses can be toughened and used in frameless internal all-glass doors.
   

SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC PERFORMANCE
The light transmittance factor for clear SGG DECORGLASS: from 80 to 90 % depending on pattern and thickness.

THERMAL PERFORMANCE
U - value = 5.7 W/(m2.K)

Glazing

In all cases, SGG DECORGLASS must be installed in accordance with current national regulations.
Depending on the pattern, each glass in the SGG DECORGLASS range has a preferred viewing side. For a uniform appearance, adjacent panes should all be cut and glazed in the same pattern direction of the glass.
